Burhan Göklemez is an assistant Proffessor of Economics and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at İstanbul 29 Mayıs University. Dr. Göklemez has a BA in Economics(1977) and an MA in Business Adminitration(1979) from İstanbul University and a Ph.D. in Finance-Banking(2011) from İstanbul Kadir Has University.
Beginning his career in Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) as Assistant Inspector in 1978, he served as Inspector(1981-1986), Assistant Branch Manager at Ankara Exchange Branch(1986-1991), Representative of CBRT at Frankfurt-Germany(1991-1994), Assistant Branch Manager, First Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager at İstanbul Branch(1994-2006) respectively. Finally he completed his career in CBRT as Deputy Governor(2006-2011).
His primary research fields are monetary policy, finance and banking.
