Dr. Oktay Özden works as a research assistant at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University. He graduated from Istanbul Kemerburgaz University in 2017. Subsequently, he specialized in endogenous monetary theory and inflation, earning a master’s degree in Economics from Marmara University. Dr. Özden completed his doctoral research in the Department of Economics at Kadir Has University, focusing on post-COVID-19 inflation and income distribution dynamics in the UK economy.
His research interests include the conflict theory of inflation, income policies, heterodox monetary policy, and Stock-Flow Consistent (SFC) modeling.
Some of his work is published in Review of Keynesian Economics, Review of Political Economy, and PSL Quarterly Review. Dr. Özden also serves as a reviewer for international journals indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) and has actively participated in both international and national academic conferences, where several of his presentations have been recognized with awards.
